The chemocato® software package offers a comprehensive overall solution. Quality assurance is built into the system starting with the physician and ordering; continuing with order verification and preparation in the pharmacy; and concluding with nurse administration. On the market since 1999, chemocato® is already used by more than 140 renowned hospitals and pharmacies in Europe.
Physicians use chemocato®'s ordering module for therapy planning (based on flexible regimens) and can order regimens/protocols online. chemocato®'s pharmacy module supports pharmacists and technicians with verification and preparation. The nursing staff's workflow is supported by chemocato® during administration.

What is chemocato®?
chemocato® is an integrated software solution for oncology therapy that provides support throughout all stages of therapy: from long-term therapy planning, to current therapy ordering, to the preparation of cytotoxic drugs and other critical medications and solutions which support the ordered regimens and protocols. Using state-of-the-art database technology chemocato® can operate as a stand-alone application in small pharmacies, or in large hospital networks, linking up many different nursing units and physician offices.
chemocato® functions:
- Therapy planning and online ordering (including regimens or investigation protocols) of cytotoxic medications and other individual therapeutic agents.
- Gravimetric preparation of cytotoxics (by means of an electronic balance) offers unparalleled safety at unrivalled speed.
- Traditional volumetric preparation (without balance) is also supported. The pharmacist receives automatically generated parts lists and preparation instructions.
- chemocato® provides support for the calculation of doses (based on any formula and calculation basis), dose limits (e.g. with regimen-dependent dose limit rules) and dose monitoring (including cumulative, lifetime doses).
- The overall workflow - from ordering through preparation to administration - can be monitored and documented with chemocato®
- Numerous comprehensive interfaces are available for integration with the hospital's own information system (e.g. via HL7 or XML).
